De ont-moeting

To stop for a moment. And enjoy the chirping of birds, or the rustle of leaves in the wind.

To stop for a moment. Noticing the simple fact that I breathe. How wonderful! Life becomes so much more rich when I take the time to pause, to look, to wonder.

I've often felt like a stranger in this society. My first official job: Working as a designer in an office in Purmerend. Three days a week. How do people do this? I craved nature. Movement. I felt more dead than alive.

A path of mediation, traveling, and spending heaps of time in nature, slowly brings me closer to myself. There I also meet difficult parts. Anxiety: Brrrrr! Insecurity: Jekkes! Gloomyness: Uughhh.

How do I get rid of these things? Work harder? Meditate more? No. That's not the answer. De journey is one of learning to embrace and be with that which is. Being kind rather than hard. The door is the body. There I learn to soften, to relax.

A wondrous world slowly opens up. My body becoming a cosy home, an always changing landscape full of surprise, a warm friend that's always with me.

Our body tells a story. She whispers softly. When we pause for a moment, and listen, she begins to talk.

Oh how the body loves to be heard.

A little bit of past

Originally trained as an industrial designer, I tried office life for a while but quickly realized it wasn’t for me. After that, I spent two years traveling in a camper, giving myself the space to do what truly brought me joy: climbing, meditating, appreciating nature. Back in the city, I began training as a massage therapist. A whole new world opened up. Yet I still longed for deeper connection. That’s when I discovered craniosacral therapy — a remarkable path of wonder and inspiration began.

And some of the present

Returning from my travels, it took some adjustment to land back in the hustle of city life. I’m grateful that, over time, I’ve been able to stay close to my own calm pace, no longer swept up in the constant “doing” and rush of the city. At the moment, I’m studying the body through craniosacral therapy, somatics, and contact improvisation.

In this practice, I hope to support people on the journey back to themselves. Back to their own rhythm and essence — that place of innocence, where life is lived from a sense of joy.

Attention without judgement

The greatest gift you can give to your body is attention without judgement. Under the soft gaze of loving attention, special things can happen. During sessions you are invited to bring your own healing attention inside.
